Liminal Competition Ensembles

For dancers who wish to engage in deep dance training and perform often, Liminal's Competition Ensembles blend dedicated technical training with creative risk-taking. 

Each Ensemble dancer commits to a comprehensive schedule (September through May) that includes core lab and class programming, rehearsals and participation in competitions, conventions, and other community performances. 

Liminal Dance Labs offers three competitive Ensemble pathways:

Ensemble A — Performing Arts: Available age groups: 5-19. Performing Arts includes contemporary ballet, various styles of jazz, modern, and contemporary with additional classes in conditioning and acrodance, designed for competitive performance readiness.

Ensemble B — Industrial Arts: Available age groups: 9-19. Industrial Arts is focused on hip hop, tap, funk, choreography, dance for camera, and other classes designed for an industry edge in commercial dance. 

Ensemble C — Athletic Arts: Available age groups: 10-16. Athletic Arts is focused on technical training in jazz fusion as preparation for middle or high school drill teams, includes hip hop, POMS, and a selection of other labs that increase capacity of advanced skills for dance team performance and competition. 

Ensemble D — Theatrical Arts: COMING SOON

Placement in Liminal's Dance Ensemble is determined by studio evaluation and/or during annual auditions. Minimum lab requirement exceptions can made on an individual basis by Artistic Director.
